“QSNCC” Commemorates World Environment Day by Collaborating With AIS on the “Thais Say No to E-Waste” Campaign, Reaffirming Its Status as a “Green Venue.”

The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) highlights its status as a "Green Venue" by teaming up with AIS to encourage proper e-waste disposal and establish an e-waste drop-off point in the center. QSNCC encourages all Thais to practice proper trash disposal to improve the standard of living for the community and promote environmental sustainability.

QSNCC is the first convention center in Thailand to join the "Thais Say No to E-Waste" initiative, which segregates e-waste from other trash before submitting it to certified e-waste recyclers. The center also sets up an e-waste drop-off point at the information counter on Level LG.

Sutichai Bunditvorapoom, Executive Vice President of N.C.C. Management and Development Co., Ltd., the operator of QSNCC, said, "QSNCC is thrilled to team up with AIS on the "Thais Say No to E-Waste" campaign, which focuses on proper e-waste disposal. The project aligns with QSNCC's mission which values sustainability, environment preservation, and a decent standard of living for the community. Our visitors and nearby community members can drop off their e-waste, like mobile phones, tablets, chargers, earphones or mobile phone batteries, at our e-waste drop-off point. At QSNCC, we also provide different types of trash cans for different types of trash so that visitors can practice proper waste disposal. The sorted waste would then go through the recycling and upcycling processes. This practice is consistent with the circular economy, in which resources are allocated and circulated at their highest value."

"As a digital service provider, AIS commits to developing an intelligent communication network as the country's core technological foundation," said Saichon Submakudom, Acting Head of Public Relations and Business Relations Business Unit at AIS. "We also put in place a policy for sustainable corporate operations in all aspects, especially the environment. Through the "Thais Say No to E-Waste" campaign, AIS has attempted to develop an e-waste management ecosystem, from developing a body of knowledge to raise Thais' awareness of e-waste management to implementing e-waste management for recycling that meets international Zero Landfills standards. We have been working with diverse partners. Sharing a passion for sustainably solving e-waste challenges, QSNCC is joining our Green Partnerships network. All visitors and attendees to meetings, trade events, and fairs can dispose of their e-waste at QSNCC's e-waste drop-off point."

Sustainability is our mission. QSNCC is created with sustainable architecture in mind and uses the latest technological innovations to reduce energy consumption, control pollution, and improve water use efficiency. Our landscape is meant to connect to a vast green space of the scenic Benjakitti Park, while our public space is designed to be a place for recreation. The partnership between QSNCC and AIS on the "Thais Say No to E-Waste" campaign highlights QSNCC as a leader in sustainability.
