Celebrate 30 Years of “12th August Half Marathon Bangkok 2025” (RUN FOR MOM) Crossing Bangkok’s Iconic Bridges

Management & Development Co., Ltd., operator of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and Thai.run, proudly announces the 30th edition of the “12th August Half Marathon Bangkok 2025” (RUN FOR MOM). Recognized as the longest-running Mother’s Day-themed half marathon in Thailand, this year’s event introduces three exciting new highlights designed to enrich the Run For Mom experience for runners and their families on Tuesday, 12th August 2025
This year’s race is held in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s 93rd birthday. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer under the Thai Red Cross Society. In addition to receiving a jasmine flower — a symbol of a child’s love for their mother — all participants will also enjoy three exciting new features launched to mark this milestone celebration:
- MOM RUN CLUB – A fun and healthy running club inviting moms and families to train together, stay active, and prepare for race day.
- Virtual Run – Join from anywhere, anytime. Runners from across the country can log their distance virtually and be part of this historic event.
- Fotobots X Fast Upload – Say goodbye to long waits! With intelligent AI technology, runners will receive more high-quality photos from multiple angles, uploaded promptly after the race for easy access and sharing on social media.
Mr. Surapol Utintu, Chief Executive Officer of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, stated: “The 30th edition of the ‘12th August Half Marathon Bangkok 2025’ is a true icon of both Bangkok and Thailand’s running scene. The route crosses six of the city’s legendary bridges and features three new highlights to enrich the experience for all participants, while catering to the growing lifestyle of active living.”

The event will feature four race categories:
1. Half Marathon (21.1 km) – For professional runners seeking a challenge across six iconic bridges along Bangkok’s scenic Chao Phraya River.
2. Mini Marathon (10 km) and 3. Fun Run (6 km) – Perfect for runners looking to experience part of the iconic bridge route and set their sights on completing the half marathon in the future.
4. Family Walk/Run (1.8 km) – A gentle route within Benjakitti Park, ideal for participants of all ages.
Additional highlights include a fancy dress contest under the theme “Mother–Child Bond”, as well as special guest appearances by artists from GMMTV and leading fitness Influencers who will join participants on the course. The 12th August Half Marathon Expo will be held at QSNCC from 9th–11th August 2025, where participants can collect their race shirts and BIBs.
